I am very new to the world of traveling outside my corner of the northwest United States here in Montana, but I have found the experience of the past few years to be both invigorating and inspiring. While I am no longer a Montanan by location, I suspect I will always be one by heart.
“What is that feeling when you’re driving away from people and they recede on the plain till you see their specks dispersing? – it’s the too-huge world vaulting us, and it’s good-bye. But we lean forward to the next crazy venture beneath the skies.” ― Jack Kerouac, On the Road
Ten years ago, I never would have imagined that I would ever travel outside the United States, but now I find myself looking forward to a camping trip in Iceland and a five-week trek across Spain. We do have the capacity to change after all.
